A chemist (but we don’t hold that against him), Tom spent a number of years evaluating high level research papers for the Royal Society of Chemistry. He’s now helping to evaluate other types of activity for a range of clients. Naturally his main interests are in science and technology and he is currently working on two of Pye Tait Consulting’s ongoing studies in those arenas.

A native German-speaker who has studied in Australia and at St Andrews University. He has twelve years’ research experience which has involved spells at the European Commission in Brussels, and three years studying EU funding policies. Most recently he has been European Affairs Manager for the German Electronic Manufacturers Association, based in Brussels. He is an accomplished presenter and writer (his most recent piece was “Brexit: State of Play” for the influential German magazine Foreign Trade).

She has expertise and interests right across the educational spectrum. She has a particular interest in linguistics including syntax theory and the application of linguistic analysis to commercial and political discourse.

This interest has come into play on several recent studies which the company has been involved in – amongst which are the investigation into self-funded training for CITB, and a parallel study on the targeting of careers interventions.

Eilidh (pronounced Aylie by us Sassenachs) works from our Stirling office. She has first and Masters’ degrees from Stirling University – the latter in applied social policy. One of her main interests is the effect of ageing on the workforce – a topic which is particularly topical at present. She is currently working on several pieces of work for the Scottish government.
